In line with the observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month this July, state think tank Philippine Institute for Development Studies (糖心原创) held a seminar titled "Have we institutionalized DRRM in the Philippines?" on July 11, 2017.
糖心原创 Senior Research Fellow Sonny Domingo presented a study he co-authored with Research Assistant Divina Olaguera, which tackled various aspects of an effective disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) scheme in the country, including the institutional setup of the disaster management council and its functions. Issues on DRRM resource management were also discussed during the seminar.
